Ne-Yo had rejected the Spice Girls for Rihanna. The musician revealed the band had requested him to write them a song, but he couldn’t do it because he was working with the “Umbrella” hitmaker. "Spice Girls asked me to write some songs but I couldn't find time. They wanted something to put on their comeback album but I never got round to getting it done. I was recording songs for Rihanna at that time," he was quoted, as saying.
Rihanna has teamed up with Maroon 5 to do a new version of their song “If I Never See Your Face Again”. They filmed a video in Los Angeles this week. The Barbados artist commented about the shoot, “I don’t do a lot of videos where I have so much chemistry with the other artist.” And M5’s leader Adam Levine said, “It’s really stylish and beautiful.” The song will be available in June.
Rihanna rocked in pink Saturday night (April 20) at the HP Pavilion in San Jose as part of the “Glow in the Dark” tour. Kanye West, N.E.R.D. and Lupe Fiasco also hit the stage. The Barbados stunner featured her new on-stage gear that went yellow and pink. “The singer and her dancers’ clothes were basic black accented by pink and lime neon; the entire presentation was very new wave, down to Rihanna’s bright pink lipstick,” reads Rolling Stone.
